Solid Washington Style 6 panel Interior Doors
35mm standard thickness to suit any door set. 70mm Sub frame allows trimming up to 25mm per side making it fully customisable to almost any doorway. The top two panels are positioned 115mm from the top with dimensions of 225mm in width and 215mm in height. The middle and bottom pair of panels are 225mm in width and 615mm in height with the middle pair positioned 430mm from the top and bottom pair positioned 1215mm from the top.

Fitting Instructions

1              Measure your opening of the door and input the sizes on the website to the widest of the opening. (if you are replacing your doors measure the size of your old doors.)

2              Offer door to the opening

3              Whilst measuring the height of the frame check the head of the frame and the floor with a spirit level to check if they are running out.

4              Providing the door is not a good fit, the door will have to be trimmed and tapered into the door frame accordingly. This is usually done with an electric plainer or handsaw.

5              Offer the door into the frame to check the width. If the door is too big, just repeat the process of trimming the top to the side of the door. If it’s a good fit place a packer under the door to visualise the door hanging naturally for clearance whilst adding pressure to the hinged side. This way any frame that is running out will be high lighted with this process

6              Once you have acknowledged which side the hinges are to be on the door, you then apply the plastic edge strip. When the door is placed in the frame mark the position of the hinges are going to be with a pencil. This process should take place with a packer underneath the door. Then fit the hinges to the door.

7              Check the hinges pocket is 5/8^th inch to the door jam. Offer the door up to the aperture at right angles to the hinge pocket. Drill holes if necessary or use existing holes and fit the door to the frame.

8              Once the door is hung drill out for the latch and handle, (this will vary in height and depth per handle and property)

Please note that these fitting instructions are for reference only. These PVC Internal doors are fitted the same way as a conventional wooden internal door.
