Explaining Our CORRAPOL® Range
At National Plastics we just added CORRAPOL® to our Clear Amber roofing product selection - giving you a wider variety of options for your home improvement needs. It can be difficult to decide between the various corrugated roofing products, so we have prepared a guide to help you understand their differences and which sheeting and accessories should be used for your project. The CORRAPOL® range is an ideal choice for your roofing project. In this blog, we will discuss each product in detail so you can better understand what makes them perfect for the job.
The CORRAPOL® roofing range offers a wide variety of applications with numerous benefits for each product offered. In this blog, we will go through the benefits of each product in the CORRAPOL® range and detail how each of the sheets and their flashings can be used!
CORRAPOL®- StormProof: Clear Corrugated Roofing Sheets.
The StormProof sheets are the strongest sheets within the CORRAPOL® range. Extruded from almost unbreakable plastic resin, the sheets are 200 times stronger glass earning them the name StormProof. Much like glass, the StormProof sheets maintain great light transmission. Their UV protection layer stops discolouration or hazing. To further differentiate from the competition, the StormProof roofing sheets will not go yellow or tint with age and do not turn brittle either. Due to their strong nature, they also will not crack or break during installation. The key benefits of this product include UV Protection, high impact strength, an estimated 25-year lifespan, no discolouration, virtually unbreakable and great light transmission. These sheets are mostly used in greenhouses, cold frames, garages, and carports.
CORRAPOL®– GRP: Polyester Translucent Sheets: These GRP sheets offer similar strength to that of the StormProof range. However, due to the fibres in the resin mix, the light transmission for these sheets is lower - creating the translucent sheet. The CORRAPOL®-GRP sheets are an excellent solution in areas where sunlight is low, and users want more privacy. The GRP sheets continue to be an excellent solution with their excellent rigidity and high-impact strength. These sheets are commonly used for garages or agricultural buildings such as barns.
CORRAPOL®-PVC: DIY Grade Sheet: The PVC Grade Sheets offer a lower cost solution to the StormProof sheeting range. These sheets are ideal for areas where impact resistance is not a key issue or direct sunlight is limited. The sheets offer an excellent waterproofing solution with good light transmission allowing a good degree of visibility while also maintaining some privacy. CORRAPOL®-BT; Durable Bitumen Corrugated Roofing Sheets: CORRAPOL®-BT is a corrugated bitumen-impregnated sheet which is designed for waterproof roofing of sheds, log storages, garages, and other outbuildings. These sheets provide roofing solutions for many different applications due to them being lightweight, and durable while also being easy to cut to size. These sheets are made in 4 distinct colours these being: Black, Brown, Red and Green (link to pages with each colour) and provide an aesthetically pleasing finish and colour scheme to finished projects!
CORRAPOL®- Rock n’ Lock Side and Wall Flashings: These flashings are made so that you can easily finish off one of the most challenging areas of any roofing project, the gable. These flashings allow users to create robust and long-lasting flashing quickly and easily. The designs make it easy to seal the wall end and the gables to the roofing sheets. Fixing these systems into place creates an extra layer of waterproofing for your roof.
CORRAPOL®- Aluminum Super Ridge and Ridge End Cap: Protecting the ridge of your roof is crucial and the installation of the super ridge can add years to your roof. These super ridge gaskets are designed to fit the CORRAPOL®- sheets. The design allows for a variety of roof pitches with them being flexible enough to seal the CORRAPOL®-sheets and create a longer-lasting ridge solution. The CORRAPOL®-end cap is designed as the ultimate accessory to any CORRAPOL® corrugated ridge roof project. It is shaped to add an extra level of waterproofing to the ends of the super ridge. Made from aluminium, the super ridge is exceptionally durable and the simple location prongs ensure speed and simplicity of installation.
CORRAPOL®- Aluminium Top Wall Flashing: Designed with easy installation and a quality finish in mind this bi-angled shape of the top wall flashing works with many roof pitches making it simple for any installer to use. This flashing is built to help create a tight seal between the CORRAPOL® sheet and the pitch of the roof. Ensuring a strong waterproof seal along the top of the roof for a tidy finish. All flashings are available in white, grey, black, brown, red, and green for your roofing style and needs!
